
Jad A. Duncan, a native of Nashville and Bellevue, graduated from the University of Tennessee (B.S., 1999) and continued his education at the Nashville School of Law (J.D., 2005). After successfully passing the Tennessee Bar Exam, he launched his law practice in 2005, partnering with his late father, attorney Jimmy A. Duncan.
Mr. Duncan primarily focuses on estate planning and probate representation. He has garnered extensive experience in various areas, including representation of estates and related litigation, establishing conservatorships, drafting wills and trusts, complex estate planning, and creating powers of attorney and other legal documents. Additionally, he handles contract drafting, review, litigation, entertainment industry representation, artist representation, general civil litigation, small business representation, collection and eviction matters, real estate litigation, Federal multi-district litigation, and numerous other legal issues. With over 20 years of diverse experience, Mr. Duncan provides wise counsel to his clients.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Duncan is actively involved in community leadership, having served for several years as the President of the Bellevue Harpeth Chamber of Commerce. Currently, he is a member of the Nashville Metro Sports Authority, appointed by Mayor David Briley and reappointed for a second term by Mayor Freddie O'Connell. Mr. Duncan also serves as a hearing panel member for the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility, which addresses ethical violations against attorneys statewide. In 2010, he was recognized as one of Nashville Scene's 'Top 3 Attorneys in Nashville' in their reader's poll. Residing in Bellevue, Mr. Duncan enjoys family life with his three children and finds relaxation in golf.
Dianne M. Frey is the legal assistant for Nashville Estate Law, bringing enthusiasm and compassion to the team. With decades of experience and a background in human resources at some of Nashville's largest companies, Ms. Frey contributes significantly to our estate planning and probate representation services.
Always ready to assist clients, Ms. Frey makes time on our schedule for calls, in-person visits, or to finalize matters with a cheerful spirit. In her personal life, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and is a proud 'dog-mom' to Coco and Missy, her chihuahua and terrier.
